This policy explains what MODO Grappling Academy LLC (“MODO,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use modograppling.com, sign up for a membership or presale, or contact us, and how we use it.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

• Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
• Payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers)
• Membership details, including plan type, start date, and billing history
• Emergency contact information, if you provide it
• For members under 18: the child’s name, date of birth, emergency contact, and any medical information relevant to training, provided by the parent or guardian
• Anything you send us by email, text, or through a form on the site

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages visited, time on site, and referring URL
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)

Information from third parties

• Payment confirmation and fraud signals from Stripe
• Engagement data from our email or SMS provider (opens, clicks, delivery status)
• Ad performance and conversion data from Google and Meta, based on how you interact with our ads and site

3. How we use it

• To create and manage your membership or presale reservation
• To process payments and send receipts
• To send membership communications, schedule changes, and gym announcements
• To send marketing messages, if you opt in (Section 7)
• To respond to questions and support requests
• To run, secure, and improve the site
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the business, including PushPress (our membership management and CRM platform, which stores your account, membership, and billing records), Stripe (payments), our website host, our email and SMS provider, and the analytics and advertising tools listed in Section 6. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of MODO, our members, or others.
• Business transfer: if MODO is sold, merged, or transfers assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Payments

Membership signup and billing run through PushPress, our membership platform, with payments processed by Stripe. PushPress’s privacy policy is at pushpress.com/privacy. Stripe collects and stores your payment card information under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. We receive confirmation of payment and limited card details (for example, card brand and last four digits) but not your full card number.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.

We use the following third-party tools:

• Google Tag Manager to load and manage the tracking tags below. Tag Manager itself does not collect personal information but enables the tools that do.
• Google Analytics to measure site traffic and usage. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Google Ads to run and measure advertising, including conversion tracking and remarketing. You can manage ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
• Meta Pixel to run and measure advertising on Facebook and Instagram, including conversion tracking and remarketing. Meta’s privacy policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

These tools may collect your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity on our site and may match it to your account on their platforms. Data collected by these tools is subject to their own privacy policies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect parts of the site, including the membership signup form.

7. Email and text messages

Email. If you sign up for a membership or presale, we will email you about your account. If you opt in to marketing email, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message.

Text messages. [DECIDE: keep only if you will text members or leads.] If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages about your membership, class schedules, and promotions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as you have an active membership or presale reservation, and afterward as long as needed for tax, accounting, legal, and dispute purposes. We delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices

• Access, correct, or delete: email info@modograppling.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
• Marketing: unsubscribe from email using the link in any message, or reply STOP to texts.
• Cookies: adjust your browser settings.

California residents. If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California law to request what personal information we have collected about you, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email info@modograppling.com.

Do Not Track. Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

11. Children

You must be 18 or older to use this site or purchase a membership. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from anyone under 13. Parents and guardians enrolling a minor may provide the child’s name, date of birth, emergency contact, and relevant medical information. We use that information only to manage the membership and keep the child safe while training, and we do not use it for marketing. A parent or guardian may review, update, or request deletion of their child’s information by emailing info@modograppling.com.

12. Links to other sites

Our site may link to third-party sites, including social media. Their privacy practices are their own and this policy does not apply to them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
